It’s a really good idea to check your garage door on a regular basis – at least monthly.
Check the springs, because these carry heavy loads and they need to be strong. Check whether they are rusted or showing signs of wear and tear.
Next examine the door. Look for rusted or sharp edges, which may present a danger to someone or impede how well the door works.
Then move onto the pulley system. Apply chain lubricant to make sure everything works smoothly.
Prevention is better than cure, and don’t forget that regular basic maintenance is a condition of your 2 year warranty.
